ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION : WELCOME TO NETRAJYOTI EYE HOSPITAL
Netrajyoti Eye Hospital is a dream comes true. It was a dream nurtured by a Retina fellow of Dr. S.S.Badrinath, founder & mentor of Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai.The dream had to be nurtured by the fellow in his mind for one and half decade to make it a reality . This fellow is none other than Dr. Pradip Mohanta. After 6 years of good private practice, following the footsteps of Dr. S.S.Badrinath, Dr. Pradip left his private practice and formed a public charitable trust in 2000 named Netrajyoti Eye Reserch Foundation. People encouraging, helping, co-operating and keeping the moral high in the mind for this sacrifice are Dr. Amitava Biswas, Mr. R.P. Mukherjee, Mrs. Dipali Mohanta, Mr. Uttam Mohanta, Mr. Sudip Biswas, Mr. Shubhendu Chakraborty, Mr. Anil Kr. Mohanta and Mrs. Renuka Mohanta.
MISSION & MOTO :
Being a unit of a non-profit making registered We have 3 types of accommodation facilities public charitable trust, all financial donations to the hospital, are eligible for income tax deductions according to section 80G, of I.T. Act 1961. The money that the hospital gets rendering its services to patients is not enough for purchasing costly equipments & further expansions. So please donate generously for the growth of the hospital & give better drop them back to their place the next day.
OUR AIM :
‘ Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love. ’
At present we do about 200 free cataract micro surgeries per month. We have a Bus to bring these patients from their place to our Hospital, perform surgery for them, keep them in our hospital for one day & drop them back to their place the next day.
